Privacy Policy
We collect almost nothing. What little we do collect is used only to operate our business.
1. Overview
Korerium LLC ("Korerium," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with your use of our software and website. We collect almost nothing, and what little we do collect is used only to operate our business.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
Korerium software is designed to operate on your device. Apart from the optional map feature described in Section 4, our software does not connect to the internet during normal operation. We do not collect, transmit, store, or have access to:
- Any files you process with our software
- Any photos you take with our software
- Any metadata read or removed by our software
- Your usage patterns, behaviors, or in-app activity
- Crash reports or diagnostic data
- Device identifiers or hardware information
- Your device location, or the location data stored inside your files (see Section 4 for the one optional feature that reads coordinates already present in a photo)
3. Information We Do Collect
The only information we collect is what you voluntarily provide to us directly:
Purchase information. When you purchase our software, our payment processor collects your name, email address, and payment details. Korerium receives only the information necessary to fulfill your order. We do not store your payment card information.
License activation. When you activate a license, your email address is used to generate and validate your license key. Activation records, including email address and activation count, are stored securely in our systems solely to prevent unauthorized use. This information is never used for marketing or shared with third parties.
Support communications. If you contact us for support or with questions, we retain the content of those communications to resolve your issue.
4. Optional Map and Address Lookup
Some Korerium apps, including MetaZero, can show you a map of where a photo was taken and look up the street address for the coordinates recorded inside it. This is the only feature in our software that connects to the internet during normal operation, and it can be turned off at any time in the app's settings.
When the feature is on, the app sends the latitude and longitude already stored in your photo to Apple Maps so it can draw the map and resolve an address. Your photo is never sent. Only those coordinates are sent, only for photos that carry them, and only while the feature is enabled.
The request goes directly from your device to Apple. It does not pass through Korerium, and we do not receive, log, or store it. Apple's handling of that request is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
With the feature turned off, the app makes no network connections at all.
5. Camera Access
MetaZero on iPhone and iPad includes a camera, so you can take a photo without a location ever being written into it. The camera is used only when you open it and only to take the photo you ask for.
Photos taken this way carry no location data at all. Our software does not request your device's location and does not attach one to the image, so there is no location to remove afterward.
A photo you take stays inside the app until you decide what to do with it. It is not added to your photo library, not uploaded anywhere, and not retained by us. If you close the app without saving or sharing it, it is gone. Saving places a copy in the app's own Cleaned Photos folder on your device; sharing hands a copy to whichever app or person you choose.
MetaZero does not request access to your photo library. When you choose existing photos, the system photo picker runs outside our app and gives us only the photos you selected.
6. App Store Distribution
Some Korerium apps are distributed through the Apple App Store. When you download or purchase through the App Store, Apple may collect certain information such as purchase records and crash reports in accordance with their own privacy policy. Korerium does not receive or have access to this data. We encourage you to review Apple's Privacy Policy.
7. How We Use Your Information
The limited information we collect is used solely to:
- Deliver your license key after purchase
- Validate license activations and prevent unauthorized use
- Respond to support requests
- Process refund requests where applicable
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your information for advertising, analytics, or any purpose beyond operating our business.
8. Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with any third party for their own purposes. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
Payment processing. Your payment information is processed by our payment provider. We do not control their privacy practices and encourage you to review their policy.
Legal compliance. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority.
9. Data Retention
We retain purchase, license, and support records for as long as necessary to operate our business and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your personal information by contacting us at [email protected].
10. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the limited personal information we hold. License activation data is stored securely and accessed only for validation purposes. Because our software operates locally and does not transmit your files or usage data, the primary security boundary is your own device.
11. Children
Our software is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.
12. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on our website with a revised effective date. Your continued use of our software after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
